Sometimes we know what we are inspired by, sometimes we have no idea. For ‘Salty’ our artist drew almost mindlessly, intrigued by the curves and undulating rhythms of the pen on the page. The completed print, to us, reminds us of a time-served sailor with part of his face ravaged by the sea. The contemporary print is almost steampunk in its design, incorporating Victorian elements with a woodblock-etched effect visible through the curves.
