Custom Commissions

Original artwork inspired by the places, wildlife, and memories that mean the most to you.

A piece made for your space, your story, your walls.

Some moments stay with us long after they've passed. A beloved pet who greeted you every day, an animal you've always felt a connection to, the face of someone who means the world to you, a favorite hiking trail, the view from a family cabin, or a quiet lake at sunset.

A custom commission transforms those memories into an original painting created just for you—something to enjoy every day and treasure for years to come.

A Note from Alexandra

One of my favorite parts of being an artist is hearing the stories behind each commission.

Whatever memory or subject brought you here, it's an honor to create artwork that preserves it in a meaningful way — something you can look at every day and feel that same connection all over again.

Every commission is painted by hand, and I work in both my signature nature-inspired style and a more photorealistic approach, depending on what best suits your piece. Whether capturing the atmosphere, light, and feeling of a place or rendering it with fine detail and precision, I stay true to the details that matter most to your story.

How It Works

1. Share Your Idea

Tell me about the place, memory, or subject you'd like to capture. You can send photos, describe a favorite location, or simply share the story behind it. Don't worry if your idea isn't completely formed—a few reference images and a conversation are often all we need to get started.

2. Receive Your Proposal

Within 2 business days, I'll send you a personalized quote including:

  • Recommended size
  • Medium
  • Timeline
  • Pricing

If everything looks good, a 50% deposit reserves your place in my commission schedule. Deposits are non-refundable, as work begins immediately on sketches and composites once a deposit is received.

3. Watch It Come to Life

Before painting begins, you'll receive a detailed sketch for approval. As your painting develops, I'll share progress photos and invite feedback before the final layers are completed, ensuring you're involved throughout the process.

4. Welcome Your Finished Painting Home

Once your painting is complete, you'll receive a final photo before shipment. Your artwork ships fully insured and arrives carefully packaged, ready to hang and enjoy.

Most commissions are completed in approximately 3 weeks for smaller works, while larger or more detailed pieces may take several months depending on size and complexity.

Pricing Guide

Size Starting Price
Small (up to 11" x 14") From $250
Medium (up to 16" x 20") From $600

Final pricing depends on size, level of detail, subject matter, and medium. Every commission receives a personalized quote before any commitment is made.

  • Favorite hiking trails, parks, lakes, or landscapes
  • Beloved pets, wildlife companions, or animals you feel a personal connection to
  • Family homes, cabins, or meaningful places
  • Weddings, anniversaries, retirements, and milestone birthdays
  • Memorial pieces honoring someone special
  • A one-of-a-kind original painting created specifically for your home

What Makes an Alexandra Castle Commission?

Every artist has a unique style, and every commission reflects mine.

My work is inspired by the quiet beauty of nature—soft light, rich textures, and the peaceful feeling of being outdoors.

Rather than reproducing a photograph exactly, I create a painting that captures the emotion and atmosphere of a place while preserving the details that make it personally meaningful to you.

The result is an original work of art that feels timeless, personal, and unmistakably yours.
